Acorn has been creating Sets of Wonders since 2005. It started when we offering study tours & workshops for teachers at Acorn School. Offering opportunities for teachers to think with materials as important parts of their own learning and for children. These Wonder Sets lead into thinking with curiosity, wonderment, questions, testing, and innovation. The idea is to lend the teacher to think with the children, environment/spaces, and with the quality of a material(s). Each experience is unique to who the teacher and child are in this context. Together with artists, architects, designers, engineers, urban designers, and other professions carefully collaborate on ideas to provide intentionally and thoughtful materials with the invitation to think further and/or add to the sets.
