I received my degree in psychology and early childhood education and went on to receive my Playworker's certificate in outdoor learning. I have been in studies with the Reggio Emilia approach for the past 26 years and an educational consultant for 20 years.
I am an advocate for children's rights as citizens in constructing their own identity and place in society., Educators are also the supporters and researchers alongside children. The view of the educator, others who work with children and family contribute to children's inquiry and interest, keeping in mind the rights of children.
I am a member of some professional educational organizations across the country. I continue to attend webinars, conferences on studies and research in the Reggio Emilia approach and traveled to Italy on study tours over the years to visit and participate in study and conferences.
From 2005-2015 operated and owned Acorn School, a Reggio inspired preschool and research lab for educators.
I offer a complimentary one-hour service to give educators, administrators, supervisors, directors, families advice and suggestions to finding the ways to work together.
